Fundraising

Awareness raising and fundraising are ways that you can help us. So little is known about chILD and we need help to continue offering help and support to the children and families affected. Here at chILD Lung Foundation we are all volunteers so 100% of all donations will go directly to our chILD cause. Do as little or as much as you feel you are able, every little bit helps...

Putting on an Event

Here are just a few examples of things you could do:

Cake sale, sporting event, quiz night, arrange a disco, shave your head, shave somebody else's head, sponsored swim, arrange a bike ride, hold a raffle, bingo night, get the kids involved, organise a fete, paint faces, paint toes, hold a golf day, organise a five-a-side footie tournament, have a darts night, organise an event at work, hold a barbeque, have another cake sale, wash some cars, put on a karaoke night, run a talent contest, host a cocktail evening, run the marathon, run a 5k race, do a sponsored walk, have a dress-down day at work, have a mufti day at school, hold a collection at a public event like a race meeting or concert. Sell something on e-bay and donate the proceeds.

Just Giving

If you are getting sponsored to do something for chILD please setup your own Just Giving page. Click here to get instructions on how to setup your own page that links automatically into chILD. Once you have everything set up please register your event with us, including the address of your Just Giving page, by clicking here.

Sponsorship

Please download a sponsorship form by clicking here. Please ensure that the requirements for claiming Gift Aid are met when you collect your sponsors. The form must contain sufficient information to act as joint declaration for everybody who wishes to Gift Aid their sponsorship. If you are paying sponsorship or collection money into chILD, once you register your event with us we will provide you with bank details. For cheques, please make these payable to 'chILD Lung Foundation’. Once the event is completed, please email us the details so we can keep a record and ensure the money is received.

Matched Giving

Does your company run any schemes where they match charitable donations or fundraising by employees? If so please think how you might maximize this for the benefit of chILD. Could you get sponsored to do something instead of (or with) another person in order to significantly increase, and maybe even double, the amount raised? Could you get other people at your company involved in chILD?

Raise Awareness

The more widespread involvement we can get in our campaign the better chance we have of raising the money chILD needs. Share your chILD story. Distribute our flyers (click here to go to the Downloads page). Email distant friends, family and work colleagues. Send a link to the website to your facebook friends and encourage them to do the same. Email us if you know any high profile people or organisations that could make a big difference to our campaign or if you think you can get us coverage in the media. How about adding something to your email signature like... 'I'm supporting chILD – children affected by Interstitial and Diffuse Lung Disease’ with our website. We all send dozens of emails and this is an easy way to advertise to people.

Shop Online

Type in our charity name to www.easyfundraising.org.uk

Any purchases you make through hundreds of high street retailers and online stores could make money for chILD. Please take a look at the site. Taking the extra few clicks would mean extra donations for chILD.

There are flyers and forms on our downloads page - click here to go there now. If you wish to get creative, please email and we can supply you with logos, images etc. Alternatively, you are free to use the logos from the downloads page and any images from Facebook.
