Unknown chILD cases are unfortunately rather common. There is so much that clinicians and researchers do not know about chILD. Due to this clinical information gap, many parents to do not find out answers as to why their child is affected by chILD even though their child may have been through all of the routine blood or genetic tests. There are so many unanswered questions. Fortunately, unknown chILD can be diagnosed and treated in a lot of the other forms of chILD. However, for a lot of families the “why?” is never answered.
